Intro to 3D Design
This course covers various methods of 3D design, such as hand-sculpting, digital modeling, and 3D printing. Students learn about spatial relationships, form, texture, and structure, as well as how to manipulate materials and tools to bring their ideas to life in three dimensions.
Line & Balance Sculpture

For this assignment, we learned how to incorporate human proportions into a 3D wireframe model. We were tasked with choosing a dynamic pose for our model, and I decided to depict a soccer player in the act of preparing to kick a ball. This allowed me to explore the fluidity of movement and how to represent the human form in action.
Pattern & Balance
For this project, we were tasked with creating a 3D tile featuring an original design that incorporates pattern and balance. I chose an asymmetrical design, featuring a leaf with a repeated radial pattern. This allowed me to explore how an unbalanced composition can still create harmony through the repetition and flow of the pattern.
Emphasis Through Contrast

For this project, we were asked to create a 3D representation of contrast, specifically through the use of emphasis. I chose to depict Moses from the Bible, with a focus on creating contrast between him, his staff, and the mini pyramids. The contrast is physical and symbolic.
